vacation week art
Next they made Calder-like mobiles. Jane's has a polar bear on it and Malcolm's has a penguin.
Last was to sculpt some clay into a nature shape. Jane made a tree with a nest, birds and cats climbing up the tree. Malcolm made a tangled thicket, a cave, and a rock with a snake on it.
This wall had shadows painted on it, we thought it was very funny!
sledding
Malcolm didn't feel like sledding much!
Jane got too hot to wear her coat!

Seacoast Science Center
Then they piloted a ship.
They had the best time with the touch tank. I had them wear bathing suits because Jane's clothes got drenched last year!
The aquarium room was a lot of fun, too.
Reading time!
model trains
Percy was there!
Malcolm had smuggled Fluffy in his vest without me knowing!
We also went to a map exhibit.

Valentine's Day 2014
Jane made us all cards!
I painted some wooden boxes to give to the kids. Now they have jewelry boxes to go in their rooms instead of keeping it all in the living room. It was cold working on them in the basement at night after they went to bed, so I'm glad that project is done!
It was also nice I finished Jane's sweater in time. It wasn't a Valentine's gift but the colors worked out.
Our heart kitty!
Jane showed us all her cards and gifts when she got home.
Nate made chocolate fondue for dinner.
After a few drips on Malcolm's new shirt, we took it off!
new year's in Chinatown
We got to see a little of the parade.
There was some interesting food at Dim Sum. Jane tried everything there was, including chicken feet!
Malcolm was also very adventurous. He said: "this restaurant has a lot of meat!"

groundhog day
She did, no big surprise!
Both kids spilled their cocoa on the rug...
... so we went outside.
At this point, Malcolm was done with his outing. Nate had to take him home since he was still worn out from being sick. Jane and I visited all the animals.
She collected all different chicken feathers.
We walked out to the woods.
There's fun stuff to play on out there!
making stuff
After a trip to the yarn store, Jane wanted to learn how to knit. She's doing very well!
