The kids agreed to go mini-golfing but they didn't seem to like it that much. At least we got out of the house!

Malcolm is 11!

Malcolm enjoyed his birthday. He had ginger-walnut scones for breakfast, barbecue chicken pizza for dinner and peanut butter pie for dessert!

Jane is 13!

Jane had an eventful birthday! She made her own cake. She had carrot salad and mashed potatoes for lunch, which is what she requested. In the afternoon she had a laser tag birthday party!

We got the kids to go to the orchard; we went out to lunch afterwards!

blue room

All Jane wanted for her birthday was for her room to be painted blue, so I did! She helped for just a few seconds. Not everything is put back yet, but it will be in time for her birthday this weekend.

fall fest

Yikes! I just realized I haven't posted in a month. The kids have been busy with school and music. I've been enjoing lots of runs, walks and bike rides in the nice weather.

Last weekend we celebrated fall fest at the cottage. It was a nice day! A mysterious boat washed up against the rocks but then the harbor patrol came to tow it away. The food and company was great, as usual! We helped to close up the cottages for the winter.

Marshfield

Jane and I went to visit Sofia's family at their summer place in Marshfield. It was such a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun!
