Jane made her a card and a present, wrapped it, then unwrapped it for her.
It's a fish on a piece of yarn. She wasn't in a very playful mood, unfortunately!

children's museum
It looked like a humid and stormy day yesterday so we headed to the children's museum in Boston. Jane wasn't afraid of this Peep!

There was a new Native American exhibit that was amazing. This is the toboggan they sat on and a TV was showing what a ride would look like!

They were fascinated by this snake and later saw a worker misting it with water!
The construction zone is my favorite section. It's huge, with tons of room, bathrooms and so much to play with. We always spend the most time in here!
We took apart this house and then rebuilt it with some other kids. I wish I had room for this building set at home, it's so fun!
mini-golf
We met our friends Kristen and Eric to play mini-golf. We had a lot of fun!
They loved the ball cleaner!
There were some cool tractor seats in the ice cream shop we visited afterwards.

Malcolm
Malcolm has been able to spell his name out loud for a long time, but the other day he used fridge magnets to spell it. He also tried writing it. It's a long name for a 3-year-old to spell!
I tried to get him to pose in these photos, but no luck!
berry picking
Jane and I picked two quarts of blueberries this morning!
It's cool enough to actually use the oven, so we'll make muffins later.

Yesterday my friend Kim and I took turns babysitting each other's kids. In the morning, she watched them so I could grocery shop, pick up vegetables at the farm and pick green beans, and get my car washed. In the afternoon I watched her kids so she could visit her sister and new baby in the hospital. The kids had fun playing together for so long!
After a stretch of hot weather, the cloudy day in the 70s felt so nice!
They had a blast in this park's huge sandbox!
This photo makes me think of the Brady Bunch, with each kid in their own square.
magic show
We joined Lindsay, Rosalie and Nolan at a magic show last week, and Jane got called up on stage!
They wanted to talk to the magician after the show was over.
A nice woman took this photo of all of us waiting for a trolley ride.
The trolley went one way, then backwards to get back, and Nolan was a little bothered by this.
After playing at a playground, we went out for ice cream.

We went to a shady playground very early the other day before it got too hot.
They like to pretend they're Spider-Man on this!
They were already drenched by 10am!

Our friend Duncan is taking swimming lessons at the lake, so we joined them for some fun in the water.

chocolate factory
We took a tour of the Wilbur's Chocolate Factory, with many samples along the way. We enjoyed it, obviously!
