pirate escape room

The kids had a challenging time trying to solve the clues at a pirate escape room set up at the library!

district jazz concert

All the jazz bands in the district got together and had a concert. Each band did one song, then they did a song all together at the end. It was fun to watch!

St. Patrick's Day

For breakfast this year we had Irish cream coffee cake. The kids didn't find leprechauns in their traps but they found chocolate coins and bracelets. For dinner we had cod with parsley sauce and Cornish pasties. I know Cornwall isn't in Ireland, but I read they eat the same type of thing there. They had turnips, rutabaga, leeks, parsnips, carrots, and apples inside.

pi day

We had deep-dish pizza pies and blueberry hand-pies for pi day!

mad for maple

The kids and I went to Parker's Maple Barn. We ate breakfast for lunch. Malcolm ordered tons of food and we couldn't believe he ate it all! We got a private tour of the sugar shack. The evaporator smelled delicious and we tried samples of fresh warm syrup!

good snow

It finally snowed a decent amount, and the kids had their first snow day.

Cross-country skiing conditions were prety good!

We don't just have ice cream in the summer! Malcolm made chocolate ice cream with peanut butter. It was good!
