Gloucester

Swimming lessons ended and Friday's forecast was hot, so we headed to the ocean. We checked out Hammond Castle first.

We went to Cape Ann Brewing Company for lunch. It was great to eat right on the water!

Then we took a walk by the ocean.

We had been excited about the "Meow" exhibit at the Worcester Art Museum for months!

There were real, live cats to pet! Tiger was very friendly.

Gizmo was really soft!

The rest of the museum was really cool, too.

The kids and Dad had fun in Maine while I was in New York!

New York getaway

I spent last weekend in New York with my friends Pam and Kim. We had so much fun! We walked a lot, ate delicious food and saw many famous sights.

We spent a crowded evening at MoMA!

We thought we were so cool walking around Times Square at midnight.

The main reason for the trip: Red Sox playing at Yankee Stadium.

I didn't wear any Red Sox stuff because I was afraid of being hassled in New York - instead I received many comments that I should have worn my shirt like my friends! Next time.

Jane and Malcolm had fun with Colin and Trevor a few weeks ago!

We've spent a lot of time at the lake over the past few weeks. We got to swim off Duncan and Cassidy's dock!

It was too cold for the moms to swim but the kids had fun!

After swimming lessons we stayed to play on the beach.

One day the kids discovered a bicycle in the lake!

On the last day the instructors let Malcolm play water games with Jane's group.

Both kids will move up a level next year!

Nana brought fresh strawberries for our red, white and blue dessert!

Watching fireworks was great, we just had to go outside!
