The last storm definitely made up for this winter's previous lack of snow! It snowed from about 2pm on Monday afternoon until 2am Wednesday morning and we ended up with close to three feet of snow. Thankfully it was light and easy to shovel. School was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The snow almost reached the deck railing!

Hopefully we don't need anything from the shed anytime soon...

The snow on the living room roof was so high Jane could hardly see out her window.

Yesterday the kids wanted to play in it but there was so much of it and it was very cold out.

Jane attempted to clear off the deck but she gave up pretty quickly.

Luckily I had found this great pdf to print out so Jane made a ton of Minecraft characters out of perler beads. There were some characters not on the printout she wanted to make, so she made the designs up!

finally some snow!

Yesterday it snowed the most it has since Thanksgiving. Jane and Malcolm were happy to go play in it!

He fell over a bit overnight so the kids fixed him today.

Malcolm tested out the mittens I finished for him last night.

Last week we had a playdate with one of Malcolm's friends from school. He has his own skating rink and the boys had a lot of fun skating, pushing each other over and pulling each other on a sled!

Later in the week we went to the town's rink to skate. Jane hadn't been skating since last winter but she remembered how!

Malcolm had a blast at a classmate's gymnastics party on Saturday.

We met our friends Lindsay, Rosalie and Nolan to go bowling. The kids did really well and had a good time!

They even set up bowling at home the next day!

Jane has started to like basketball a lot better!

She scored two baskets during the scrimmage.

We had a good winter break this year. We visited several museums and had lots of days at home for the kids to play with legos and all their presents.

We also went out for brunch one day. The kids got French toast!

I got a lot of knitting done!

Nate and Malcolm made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins with his new cookbook and baking cups. They were delicious!

We spent a day at the Museum of Science.

Right after the kids got out of the lunar module we ran into some friends from school! That was an exciting coincidence.

Just the other day we met some friends at the Discovery Science Museum. Jane and Malcolm love the mixing studio.

Malcolm and Hannah built a house together.

It finally snowed and Jane played out in it!
