Halloween happenings

Both kids were invited to Halloween parties on the same day! They had fun celebrating with their friends. If you can't tell, Jane is Harry Potter and Malcolm is the Grim Reaper on the right!

wet day at the Waterworks museum

I had been wanting to visit the Waterworks museum for years, and Saturday they had games and candy for kids. It was a rainy day, so we went! It was fascinating. I finally figured out that if I want the kids to go somewhere "boring," all I have to do is make sure they get candy.

Westie seemed happy I stayed up until 2am for the third World Series game. She got cold, though, and used Malcolm's fleece!

The kids and their friends spent the afternoon bowling and at the arcade!

Because it's been getting so cold at night, Malcolm's pumpkin was picked. We can't believe how big it got!

This year Malcolm carved a wolf and moon pumpkin, Nate did a traditional jack-o-lantern and Jane carved a cat with the moon. Jane took a photo of me gathering seeds to roast!

It was fun to go to the zoo when the animals got to play with pumpkins! The kids got to trick-or-treat, and there was a haunted maze.

We went to the orchard the other day to pick apples and buy pumpkins! Later, Malcolm made apple crisp!

Jane still likes to rake piles of leaves to jump in!

Nana's birthday party

We celebrated Nana's 70th birthday at a seafood restaurant. We had a nice time! She got some chocolates for a present and shared them.

Jane got new sunglasses at L.L.Bean (not the ones in the photo) and the kids used birthday money to buy stuffed wolves!

Bradbury Mountain

We hiked up Bradbury Mountain on Sunday. It was nice weather and the view was pretty! I saw a pileated woodpecker and a red squirrel.
