brownies

Nate made some delicious frosted brownies. The frosting is made of melted Krackels and Mr. Goodbars. We're still using up Halloween candy!

latest flower update

We saw red-winged blackbirds during a walk. The rhubarb is up, the narcissuses have started to bloom and so have the phlox! One of the rhododendrons I planted last year didn't die!

It feels weird not using reusable grocery bags, but the cats love the paper ones!

fun with fondant

After watching a few recent episodes of British Baking Show, Jane wanted to experiment with fondant. She made a chocolate cake and the fondant herself! Of course she had to decorate it with a cat! She said it was more fun than playing with play-doh.

Jane's tiny house

For art class, Jane made a tiny house. Pippin wanted to make sure she stayed on task!

It was too bad we weren't able to celebrate Passover or Easter with extended family, but we managed to have a good time anyway. The nice weather helped!
