sad news

Pippin passed away last week. She had a rare uncurable illness. She was a beautiful, sweet, friendly cat. She loved to graze on kibbles all day and take naps in the sun. She enjoyed snuggling and had the cutest, high-pitched meow. She was only 11 months old and we really miss her.

outside views

I had thought not much was going on with the yard but when I walked around I discovered a lot was in bloom!

Memorial day

We had a cookout on the porch for Memorial day. I had homemade black bean burgers with guacamole and coleslaw. Everyone else had hamburgers. For dessert we had rhubarb cherry cobbler!

Pippin

Recently Pippin had to spend the night at a kitty hospital because she was having some tests. We missed her and we were happy when she came home. She started medication and has been doing much better. She's such a special kitty!

biscuits, blooms and a bird!

We had almond-coffee biscuits for Nate's half-birthday! They were delicious. I also got photos of some flowers and the oriole in the apple tree!

Here are the latest photos from around the yard. I love when the apple blossoms arrive because then the orioles do, too!

This year we celebrated with chimichangas, tomato-avocado salad and frozen margarita pie!
