last swimming lesson

The kids were happy to have their last swimming lesson! Even though they acted like they hated it, they said when they take them again they want to go back to the same place.

legoland

We spent the first day of summer vacation at Legoland! The kids tried a new VR race that they really liked. There was a new Star Wars exhibit! We had lunch at a Mexican restaurant, then checked out the Mystic River. Afterwards we had ice cream at J.P. Licks!

I don't think my hydrangea has bloomed for two years, so I'm happy it is this year!

fifth grade celebration

Jane had a really nice fifth grade celebration! There was music, a slideshow, a couple speeches and each child got a certificate. Soon she'll be a middle-schooler!

father's day

We had a picnic on father's day at a winery and saw a reggae band play. It was a fun time!

school picnic

The kids had fun at the school picnic. They spent most of the time running around with their friends. They entered the raffle and won the lego basket!

Milton Hershey

Malcolm chose Milton Hershey for his biography project - maybe because he's obsessed with chocolate?

walk in the woods

Jane and I took a nice walk in the woods last weekend.

field day

At this year's field day, I helped at the bucket relay game. I got to see Jane's class in action but not Malcolm's, but at least I saw him nearby with his class when I had a break. Jane and her friends dumped water all over themselves!

scooperbowl

We had a good time at the scooperbowl this year! It wasn't crowded at all. The kids got to play Mario Kart!

Plimoth Plantation

I chaperoned Malcolm's field trip to Plimoth Plantation. I had a group of four great boys, and none of us had ever been there before. The weather was perfect and we had a great day!
