Christmas

We got our tree a little later than usual because it was so warm out it didn't feel like Christmas!

The last day of school before vacation was pajama day.

We spent Christmas day at Grammy's.

The cousins were ready for dessert!

Jane and I got to hold Willow!

We had the kids open their stockings at home the day after Christmas. They enjoyed playing with their new stuff all day.

rocks and minerals

We hadn't been to the Natural History Museum in a while because Jane is disturbed by all the taxidermized animals. She's really into rocks and minerals now, though, so we went and just had her close her eyes when we passed by the animals.

craft room

I finished painting the craft room. I'm happy with how it looks! This room has changed from a junk room, to an office, to a craft room, and now it's a combination office/craft room.

I'm sure it won't look like this for long, so it's good I took some photos!

Hanukkah

We had a good Hanukkah this year!

The kids got some presents they really liked.

We celebrated in Maine with Nana and Samara (and Jack).

Jane got to take home some of my old doll clothes.

All ready for latkes!

We celebrated with our friends on the last night. The kids decorated cupcakes!

Concord Museum

The kids got out of school early last Friday so we went to the Concord Museum. They had Christmas trees decorated in themes from different storybooks. There was a scavenger hunt related to the trees and they thought that was a lot of fun! They worked on an ornament to add to one of the trees.

After we saw Thoreau's bed, desk and chair, the kids made a model of his cabin and furniture out of legos.

Here's what we've been up to lately.

We took the kids rollerskating, and they did karaoke!

They sang "Livin' on a Prayer."

We had a mini party for Susie's birthday with mini cupcakes!

The kids had fun at the Discovery Museum.

We went to Plum Island. It was fun to walk around there in the cooler weather.

The craft room is getting a makeover! The new color is brighter yellow.
