Malcolm and Rye

Malcolm doesn't eat any of the vegetables from the CSA but he likes petting the dog, Rye!

tiny crocs

American sizing is confusing! I ordered the kids crocs in toddler size instead of youth!

knitting

Jane made up this baby bird, then she started another one using a pattern! It's hard to show her what to do because I'm right-handed and she's left-handed, but she figured out how to purl, increase and decrease stitches. Purling contintentally is working better for her since she can hold the yarn in her left hand.

teenager

Westie is a teenager! The kids gave her some ham and cheese on her birthday and she gobbled it up.

stamp museum

The stamp museum had free admission last Friday with all kinds of activities. Malcolm did NOT want to go, so I bribed him with Mexican food. We ended up liking it a lot!

When we got home, we dumped out our stamps from Grammy and used those for the activities!

beach day

We had a fun day at the beach last week! The kids loved being buried by Duncan!

Martha's Vineyard

We felt very lucky to be invited to spend two days with our friends in Martha's Vineyard! We had great food, saw the gingerbread houses, went up a lighthouse and spent a wonderful day at the beach.

We ate Cape Cod chips on the boat with the Cape in view!

morning in Maine

We checked out the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge in Wells, Maine. It was a nice walk and very pretty! Then we went to the Maine Diner for lunch. We had heard about it for a while, so it was nice to finally try it!

granite state

We took a quick trip to New Hampshire on Sunday and Monday. We went hiking, played mini-golf and went to Storyland. The weather was nice and nothing was crowded!

independence day cake

We didn't do much for the fourth of July but I made an icebox cake. It came out well!

Patriot Place!

The Hall at Patriot Place had free admission Friday, so we went to check it out!

Superbowl ring!

Trophies!

Malcolm Butler's helmet, gloves and cleats!

There was some older memorabilia, too.

We also watched a movie about the Patriots and then had seafood for lunch. It was a fun outing!
