Christmas highlights

We did a LOT of cooking and baking for Christmas. The kids enjoyed opening their stockings full of international snacks! We had a scary drive to Maine that was very icy, but we made it okay and had a nice time visiting with family.

We got a small amount of snow last weekend but Malcolm managed to make a snow cat!

Jane was one of only a few kids participating in chorus AND band in last night's concert. She had to put on a white shirt midway-through to match the band! She switched from trumpet to French horn a few weeks ago.

The squirrels and deer have been enjoying this year's crabapple harvest!

Because Cinder is a climber/cord-chewer, we put up the only xmas decorations we felt safe with!

Hanukkah highlights

We had a nice Hanukkah this year, ending with latkes at Nana's house!

Thanksgiving 2021

We had a pretty uneventful Thanksgiving. Jane played mellophone with the band at her school's football game. We had raspberry pie for dessert!

Jane is in the Broadway Ensemble and they performed at the choral concert. Jane had a duet in The Song of Purple Summer! They also sang She's in Love.

We hadn't been to the science museum in a long time! It was fun to go back.
