It was around 50 degrees during the day in Boston on New Year's Eve, so the ice sculptures were dripping a little. I'm glad we got to see them!

Eataly

We finally tried Eataly on New Year's Eve. It was crowded, but we really liked it!

Mapparium

We went to see the Mapparium on New Year's Eve. It was cool!

Jane and Nate made homemade farfalle. We had it with garlic and olive oil - it was delicious!

Jane's jade

Jane and I went to the bonsai greenhouse and she picked out a dwarf jade tree! It was nice to walk around in the warm greenhouse and see everything growing.

gingerbread house

We had fun candy shopping, baking, constructing and decorating our gingerbread house! The best part is that we get to eat it!

xmas tree

We got our tree last weekend. For a few days it just had lights and we thought it looked nice that way! Then this weekend we decided to add the ornaments. Afterwards we had homemade eggnog.

winter recital

We went to the winter recital for 4th-8th graders who are taking music lessons. It was fun to see all the kids perform! Jane played "We Three Kings." Her teacher harmonized using her trumpet for part of the song.
