We had a nice trip to the farm with Nate!

Our CSA has a potluck dinner every year. The kids loved picking out a pumpkin!

They had a lot of fun on the swing. The kids on the ground were pretending to get knocked over!

We tried to fit an aquarium trip in between soccer, lunch and a potluck dinner party. We didn't end up with much time, unfortunately. We'll have to go back when soccer is over.

This year it worked out we went to a Sox game in September!

We had another fun outing with Colin! We went to the Ecotarium on a nice day.

Jane was excited to participate in dot day this week at school!

We missed Jane's first game because of being in Maine, but she had no problems joining her team for their second game. She seems a little less agressive than some of the kids, but she is on the younger end. She certainly did her part cheering everyone on!

Applefest 2013

We had a beautiful day for Applefest this year.

Eating and drinking apple things was fun!

I had my car worked on all day so they gave me a Prius to drive around. It was fun but very different from my car.

We went to pick apples, and the orchard now has cider!

Malcolm and I went to the playground last week.

There was a cool spider there.

"polishing" the driveway

Instead of simply drawing, the kids insisted they were polishing the driveway with chalk. They would color, then rub their hands in it.

Now that our older kids in school all day, my friend April and I can take Malcolm and Colin places in one vehicle. We went to the science museum last week. I love to go on weekdays in September because it's almost deserted!

Malcolm loved these pink flippers and wished they had fit him.

It's sad for me to post these photos knowing that Grandpa will never see them. One of his favorite things to do was to look at this blog and see photos of his grandchildren. At the same time, I can't stop posting them because I know he wouldn't have wanted that. It's also hard to keep going out and doing things after something like this, but with young kids I can't exactly stay home and mope around all day.

Malcolm started soccer last Saturday and he was very excited to get shin pads, a ball and a shirt with a number on the back. He did very well playing and he scored a goal during the scrimmage. Grandpa would be very proud!

One of Malcolm's teammates has a sister on Jane's soccer team, so they had fun playing together and walking her dog.

These photos are back from labor day weekend when we had a cookout. It had rained in the morning and we weren't sure how the weather would turn out, but it cleared up and was really nice.

The group shot didn't turn out exactly as I had planned...
