Malcolm's first soccer game

Malcolm moved up a level in soccer this year also. He's playing with second graders so the game was fun to watch!

applefest 2015

We went to the cottage for applefest this year! We ate apple food and did apple crafts. I have to admit I mostly sat on the rocks and knit, enjoying the beautiful scenery! The kids had a good time in the water together.

Jane's first soccer game

It started off very foggy during Jane's first soccer game. This year the girls play with a bigger field and net and they have goalies. They had a lot of energy during the first half but looked worn out in the second half!

Jane played defense for part of the game and offense later on. We were winning by so many goals that we had to take out a player to make it more fair!

This year we had beer and food that goes with beer. The kids had birch beer and root beer!

The kids had a lot of fun running around.

They also used legos.

We had stout spice cake for dessert with ice cream!

School has begun! The kids wanted cider donuts for breakfast, of course!

The first day was hot!

It's a strange feeling for me to have no kids at home all day. I'm going to get a lot done!

vacation at the cottage

We spent the last week of the summer at the cottage. We had some bad weather at first but it improved a lot. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the company of family and friends and some delicious food and drinks!

I tried to keep the photo count down but it was difficult! The photos you see here are only 10% of what I took!

Jane spent the whole week searching for seaglass. These are some of the pieces she found the first day.

Malcolm made a tiny chocolate chip cookie out of sculpey.

We spent time with Uncle Abe, Nana and Grammy.

The full moon caused some very high and low tides which were fascinating.

I went running a few times but the kids only took one walk!

They tried fishing.

We went out to lunch with Reagan!
