I love the cool things I see during my early morning bike rides. The other day I saw a hot air balloon taking off from a field!

fermentation festival

Jane and I went to the Boston Fermentation Festival. There were a lot of samples to try, and lots of things to learn about. She made her own saurkraut to take home and I got to sample some delicious fermented beverages. We discovered we both love kombucha!

We had sushi at Quincy Market for lunch, and Union Square donuts for dessert. It was a fun day!

reunion 2017

Jane made haystack cookies to bring to the family reunion!

I was too busy talking to everyone so I only took one picture. It was a really nice time and lots of people came!

fun in Fort Point

The kids asked to go to the children's museum, so we went the other day. We had a fun time, especially having lunch and dessert at a nearby bakery! The new dinosaur exhibit was exciting.

eclipse

I'm not sure why the kids are looking in different directions, but we all enjoyed watching the eclipse! The first half of the show was sunny. The second half was cloudy, but I could see it without glasses once in a while.

Maine vacation 2017

We had a really good vacation this year! We saw lots of family and friends, relaxed at the cottage and had a few adventures.
