free cacti!
The other day I went to Boston and as I was walking around the seaport, some nice people were giving away free cacti! Jane has been wanting one, so she was excited when she saw it.
project adventure
Project adventure came to Jane's school, and the sixth grade spent the day doing different activities outside. She had fun!
costume tryout
We were near a Party City last weekend so the kids tried out some costumes. They didn't get anything, but they had fun anyway!
woods and water
Last Friday we met up with some friends at the lake. It was not swimming weather but the kids put their feet in anyway! They played on the playground and in the woods. It was a blustery day!

giant pumpkin
We've tried to grow pumpkins several times, but the blossoms always get eaten. Malcolm started this pumpkin in the spring at school, and it's actually growing! It's already bigger than a basketball, and it's still green. He wants to make pies out of it.

applefest 2018
We had applefest over Labor Day weekend. It was pretty warm out, and my kids were mostly nowhere to be found, but otherwise it was a good time! The food and company were great. We sampled lots of different hard ciders. I was excited our favorite unpasteurized cider was already at the store when I went shopping!
first day of school
Last week the kids went back to school. Jane started middle school, so her bus is earlier and she waits by herself! She was very excited to go, but Malcolm wasn't.
