concert

Jane's middle school concert was last night. She sang, played trumpet with the jazz band and French horn with the regular band. The kids sounded really good!

yummy and snowy day

It finally snowed and stuck around! Jane made ricotta calzones and pear crisp, then the kids played in the snow.

ski day

We don't have any snow this winter and it isn't any fun! At least they make snow where the kids take lessons. They had a half-day the other day so we went early. It was around 20 but it felt much colder! The snow machines were on and I stood next to a tree so it wasn't blowing at me! After skiing for a few minutes we went in for pretzels and cocoa.

One thing I love about winter is that when the trees lose their leaves, the sky is so much more visible. We've had some nice sunrises and sunsets lately!

Jane created a nice little scene for her bonsai.

Malcolm has been very busy folding a lot of origami. This is probably half of one percent of all the finished objects in our house!
