back to Boston
Every time it's nice out, we have to plan something fun. This summer there haven't been many dry days that are a nice temperature. Saturday we went to the New England Aquarium, then out for lunch and - you guessed it - Mike's Pastry! The kids had their treats in the park but I had mine later at home. Jane and I got Boston cream puffs and they were so good!
Rockport
Jane and I spent a fun and relaxing day in Rockport! We walked around Halibut Point State Park and had a picnic lunch. Then we explored Bearskin Neck and had a pastry on the back deck of a strudel shop. We felt like we were at the cottage in Maine!

spring play
We finally got to watch the virtual spring play: "Itsy Bitsy: Trial of an Eight-Legged Washout." Jane played Cat N' Fiddle. It was entertaining!
first beach day in a while
The kids and I headed up to Salisbury beach on a cool, foggy morning. We saw horses, the weather got sunnier, and we stopped for ice cream on the way home. I think it had been two years since we had gone to the beach together!

backyard geyser
Our library reopened for in-person browsing, and the kids and I were the first patrons! Someone took our photo but I don't know how to find it. We took home materials to make geysers with soda and mentos, and Jane had fun with that in the backyard.

warm pasta salad
I made pasta salad for our Independence Day lunch, but it was so cold outside that we ate it when it was still warm. Those are mozzarella balls, not marshmallows!
Maine!
We visited our family in Maine for the first time in almost a year! I didn't take any photos there, but here are pictures from a German bakery we stopped at on the way there. It was nice to see our moms and brother!
