end of the school year activities

Jane was given an academic award for band and performed in another symphonic concert. Malcolm had his 8th grade ceremony and dance. We celebrated by having Kimball Farm's ice cream!

Hokusai

Jane and I enjoyed the exhibit of art by and inspired by Hokusai. The restaurant where we had lunch happened to have The Wave on the wall! Before we went home, we visited the Japanese garden.

good impression of impressionism!

Jane and I finally made it to the impressionism exhibit at the Worcester Art Museum. It was a fun day!

mother's day 2023

We had a nice day celebrating mother's day. Jane gave me a lemon cupcake she bought during a field trip, and Malcolm made me a dinosaur! We went to the Public Garden and rode on a swan boat, walked along the Commonweath Avenue Mall to look at the statues, and had lunch at the Cornish Pasty Co. Afterwards we walked along Newbury Street and Jane brought us to the gallery she had visited on her field trip. Then we had gourmet Italian desserts from Eataly!

a new driver

Jane got her driver's license! We celebrated by going out for coffee, then later, lunch.

Maine

We had a nice visit in Maine celebrating Grammy's birthday, Mother's Day and Cinco de Mayo! The weather was beautiful!

Red Sox in the rain

Jane and I got to see the Red Sox beat Cleveland on a rainy afternoon! We enjoyed our nachos beforehand.
