fun at the farm!

The kids wanted to go to Davis Farmland to celebrate their birthdays. Other than a goat chewing Jane's hair, it was a fun day!

Jane is 11!

Jane turned 11! She and Malcolm woke up early and opened some presents before school. They got Pokemon building sets!

Jane chose to have blueberry pancakes for breakfast. I think she wants that every year!

The birthday girl!

We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Now Jane is too old for the kids' menu! She prefers adult appetizers anyway.

haircut

I wanted the kids to get haircuts before school picture day and the big birthday weekend. Jane agreed to go to a place, which was great because I had cut it crooked last time! Here are before and after pics. (Malcolm had his done at home and was in no mood to be photographed.)

We've been using chalk every morning. Jane likes to draw cats!

lego landmarks

We went to see U.S. landmarks made out of legos displayed at the mall. They were very impressive! I especially loved the tiny Lincoln inside the Lincoln Memorial. The kids also got to play with legos. The lego store had a Millennium Falcon that was huge!

day trip to Vermont

On Saturday we headed to Vermont to check out a children's farm! We also went to a cheese shop, out to lunch and to a bookstore. Brattleboro was a neat place to explore!
