Some kids from school were there and Jane had a blast playing with them.
She played in the sand for a few minutes.
The kids discovered a bin of floats and toys they could use, so they both strapped on some floats. They were actually swimming with them, so that was pretty exciting! I hope they'll be swimmers after they have lessons for a few weeks!

I am jealous that you have a lake to go to. We are limited to a community pool, but it helps beat the heat wave. Anna can swim breaststroke, but her technique is fairly atrocious - she is also going to take swim lessons a couple of weeks from now.
I tried the lake once already with both girls--it was easy getting there, but pretty hard packing up and getting home. I don't think we'll be there much this summer :(
