I was unsatisfied with the photos I took of Jane's game last week with the smaller camera, so I took my SLR yesterday and I think these came out better. I'll have to bring it to Malcolm's next week.

It was a great game. The weather was nice and we won by many goals!

Halloween party

I took the kids to a school-wide Halloween party on Friday. Jane decided to dress up as Cinderella. Her hair looked pretty for about five minutes! It's very slippery so it fell out a few times and I had to keep re-doing it.

Malcolm wore his new Thor costume.

It was a dance, so there was a DJ with lots of games and activities. Here they are waiting in line to do the limbo and get a prize.

Towards the end we got into groups and toilet papered each other. Ella and Olivia had fun being wrapped up!

Overall it was a lot of fun and the kids loved it, the volume of the speakers was much too loud, though!

fire station

Malcolm's preschool went on their first field trip - the fire station! Malcolm wanted me to chaperone so I got to take some photos.

Malcolm and Colin learned all about the ambulance.

The kids got to sit in the back seat of the fire truck...

...then the front.

They learned about the trucks, what firefighters do, and fire safety. At the end they got a helmet to bring home!

We invited my two college friends and their families over for carving pumpkins and autumn fun. No fall gathering could be complete without a big leaf pile!

eleventh anniversary

Last Saturday we celebrated our 11th anniversary. Time flies! Nana came to visit to watch both kids play soccer. After their games they had fun in the backyard.

Daddy made a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was delicious!

After coming home from Maine I ate a quick dinner, then Kim and I headed to Fenway for our first playoff game!

It was cold out!

The moon came out from behind a cloud.

The Sox lost to the Tigers 1-0, but we still had a great time.

When we arrived at Grammy's house Jane, Malcolm, Nana and I all got to open some birthday presents!

We had such a nice time with family and friends in Maine, and it was even more special since it was Nana's birthday!

new zoo

Yesterday we went to a zoo we had never been to before with Colin. The boys had so much fun! They loved the Southern Screamer because it kept pecking at them through the glass.

They also fed the ducks.

After we got home from the orchard on Malcolm's birthday, I needed to sleep! I had been up until 1am listening to the Red Sox the night before. Daddy and Jane raked a huge pile of leaves and the kids jumped in it.
