Ecotarium

Yesterday we were at the Ecotarium with our friends Lily and Nate. The girls had fun climbing the rock wall!





The model train was a big hit also.



The animal encounter was with a corn snake which we had already met during another visit.

final gifts

After our trip away for Hanukkah and Christmas, it took Jane and Malcolm many days to catch up on sleep. Their behavior was less than ideal, so unfortunately we didn't give them their final gifts until Hanukkah had been over for a few days. The timing worked out well because they got to open them in the morning and play with them all day.

Jane got a cardboard dollhouse to decorate and furnish. She literally spent the entire day working on it! The family is named Mommy, Daddy, Jane, Malcolm and the baby is named Allie. The dog is Spot and the cat is Meow.









Malcolm got a camera just like Jane's, so she was helping him figure it out.

Salem

We met our friends in Salem at the Peabody Essex Museum last week. Lily, Jane and Tyler are composing a water molecule.



This was a conundrum: Lily wanted to do the puzzle together but Jane wanted to do it by herself. I wonder how sharing at school is going to go for Jane.



Malcolm went fishing.



Rosalie became a witch on our way back from lunch!



We had a great time visiting the galleries.

It still seems like fall here in Massachusetts, so the kids rode their bikes at the park the other day!

Harry Potter

Thanks to Angie's suggestion, we've been reading the first Harry Potter book. The other day I thought it would be fun to make them glasses to wear. They often hold their wands and we listen to the soundtrack while we read!
