first bus day

At lunchtime, Jane was very excited to take the bus for the first time. She was so excited that she spilled her milk all over the dining room table. I cleaned it up as fast as I could and then we rushed outside.

Malcolm had to finish eating in the driveway!

The bus was 15 minutes late and I wondered if other parents had been taking pictures of their kids!

The next day I set up lawn chairs in the driveway and the kids ate while waiting for the bus. It was much more relaxing for me!

sports skills

On what I thought would be Jane's second day of school, Malcolm started sports skills class. Jane ended up having that day off so I had to bring her with me. She read for a while but mostly was bored. Malcolm had fun! It's at the same place where he did gymnastics last year. They played a little soccer and then did gymnastics.

kindergarten!

Jane has been so excited about school. She tells everyone she meets that she's starting school. For her first day I drove her and it was only for two hours. On Thursday she gets to take the school bus.

She doesn't look excited, but she really was!

She's excited to be with her friends Lily and Emma, and make some new friends!

When we went to pick her up, Malcolm gave her a huge hug. She's a lot more fun to play with than I am, so he missed her!

Old Sturbridge Village

This is where Jane picked to go during her last day before school started.

They got to fish with a real hook, and fish were going after the bait. No bites, but it was fun!

They tested if eggs were good or bad by dropping them in some water. They were supposed to sink.

Jane loves to pretend to be teacher!

I'm not sure Malcolm wants to be a student.

I love Cassidy's brown eyes!

Jacob knocked this over again and again, and it entertained everyone.

children's museum

This time when we went to the Children's Museum the kids had Hannah, Rose and Lina to play with!

Malcolm got pretty high up in this climbing structure this time.

Photobucket

Everyone jumped and bounced in this room.

Photobucket

The sand table is always fun.

Photobucket

I was hoping Hannah and Malcolm would play together since they'll be in the same kindergarten class in two years, and they did!

Photobucket

They loved the trucks, also.

Photobucket

Jane and Hannah had a lively round of hide and seek in the construction room. It was very cute to watch.

Malcolm doesn't want to go to school yet but he sure liked playing in this pretend bus.

Photobucket

I wish I had gotten more pictures of Jane and the twins but they didn't stay still for very long!

back to the beach

This was probably our last trip to the beach. It was a fun one! Jane and Malcolm got to play with Jacob, Eliana, Tyler, Lily and Nate this time.

After our friends left Jane and Malcolm played dolphins. It looks like they're swimming but they're walking on the sand with their hands. I guess it's good practice for swimming!
