valentine's day

The valentine's party we go to each year was cancelled because of the near-blizzard, so I had to kick up our celebrating at home a notch. I decorated the dining room with streamers from Grammy and made cookies and frosting so they could sprinkle colored sugar on top.

Jane opened her card and gift before school.

Malcolm liked his Toy Story card.

He also loved his racecar card from Nana and Grandpa.

Jane was very excited when she got home from school. She had gotten all kinds of exciting things from her classmates.

Then she opened her fairy card from Nana.

This is her straw-moustache from her classmate Avery!

Chocolate!

It was time to decorate the cookies. I usually make heart-shaped sugar cookies, but decided on peanut butter this year. Nobody complained.

Valentine's Day would be incomplete without a photo of Westie with her black heart!

We did get some use out of our cookie cutter - heart shaped biscuits for dinner!
