beach adventures

We finally made it to the beach this summer! We went with a group of friends and had a great time.

This is a sea worm. I had never heard of those before!

family reunion

We had a wonderful day for our family reunion last Saturday. It was 75, dry and sunny in Maine.

The kids wanted to be in the water the whole time even though it was too cold for most everyone else!

I got to hold the newest member of the family, Iona!

Back to the water...

We're very excited to go back for vacation!

concert

One of the things the kids wanted to do this summer was go to a concert. I got an email one day saying there was a free concert that night at the park, so we brought a picnic dinner. It was a cover band that played classic rock.

Jane found a friend to play with!

Now we can cross that item off our very extensive list!

fun at the farm

We recently visited a farm to check out the tomato maze and pick flowers.

Malcolm wanted to stay in here the whole time!

The kids chose and cut all the flowers for our bouquet. It was quite an eclectic arrangement.

swimming lessons

We've been going to the lake every day for swimming lessons, then staying until lunchtime. It's been really nice and we've had great weather! It's fun seeing our friends, too.

canoe trip

It's been a few years so we decided to go canoeing the other day. We paddled from the South Bridge to the Old North Bridge in Concord.

The kids called this "goose city!"

This area is part of the Minuteman Historical Park. Maybe we'll go there sometime.

I wanted to take some photos of Jane with the hydrangea while it's in bloom.

Malcolm asked me to take his photo, too, and he wanted to look his best.
