sledding hill

We never made it to the sledding hill last year because the snow was too deep. It was just right to go the other day and the kids had a lot of fun!

The kids have been really into baking lately. They have fun picking out recipes and making them without our help. Malcolm made chocolate-swirled meringues the other day!

Jane made whoopie pies with Malcolm's help when we had another snow day on Monday!

When we had gone to the store to get ingredients, we also got seltzer. Malcolm said he was a "cool dude" drinking "soda."

We got a decent snowstorm last Friday and the kids had a snow day. Jane went right out to build a snowman!

It cleared up in the afternoon and it was pretty out.

Mommy's evening drink fit the theme.

The next morning there was a robin party!

Winter is a great time to make stuff. Malcolm made himself a costume.

Jane made herself a cardboard house.

I made Malcolm a bunny cowl.

I started this hat not knowing who it was for. I was trying to use up random balls of yarn. Once I added the blue I knew it was for Jane!

Westie took over my office chair the other day. You can tell she didn't want me to make her leave!

Jane was excited when she sat on her lap.

Jane and I had a nice time walking outside while Malcolm was at his friend's house last week.

Malcolm skated at the park. Jane slid because we hadn't gotten her new skates yet!

Then she made a snowman.

The kids made a network of paths to play a game outside.

Jane made a batch of lemon cookies!

Jane requested a cat hat and a polar bear cowl, so I happily obliged.
