day in the city

The kids get a few random days off in November, so last week we went to the Children's Museum. We saw some cool things on our walk from the train to the museum!

They love this three-story climbing structure! I'm glad they're older now, I was so terrified when they first tried this!

They had fun racing to see who could pull themselves up the fastest. I think they raced twice and took turns winning!

They were really excited to find these two pianos!

We had a delicious lunch at Flour. We gobbled up dessert before I had a chance to photograph it.

The keva block exhibit was really cool!

Malcolm was inspired to use his at home afterwards.

We stopped in the art room and the kids did animal pictures.

They always enjoy building a house!

We had never been in the Japanese house before. It was really cool. It's a real 100-year-old house from Japan, with some updates. Malcolm thought the bathtub was neat.

I downloaded these cool labels, raided Grammy's pantry for old bottles, and made a Harry Potter Halloween display that isn't coming down even though the holiday is over!

Halloween

We carved pumpkins a couple days before Halloween.

Time to trick-or-treat! It was a good night, chilly but dry.

Our neighbors went all out decorating!

They were pleased with what they came home with.

They put aside some plain chocolate to add to cups of cocoa in the future, and Daddy is going to make Halloween ice cream with some of the candy.

These are the sheep down the road from me, and they were so cute I took a photo when I was taking a walk.

activity day

I helped with fingerprint art in Malcolm's class during fall activity day. All the projects came out different!

time with friends

Malcolm had his friend Milo over the other day and they played Chutes and Ladders.

The next day Maddy came over and made cookies with Jane!
