Independence Day

We didn't leave the house on Independence Day because it rained. We made the most of it, though! The kids wore red, white and blue pjs. Jane did some USA puzzles.

We cut patriotic images from circulars and decorated the doll house.

Jane made her own parade.

We had cheesecake with blue and red fruit!

Paw Sox

We ventured to Pawtucket, Rhode Island for a PawSox game this afternoon.

The kids were happy when they were eating.

Unfortunately there was an argument between the kids about whether to switch seats that wasn't being resolved, so we left after only two innings. It was disappointing to drive all that way for such a short stay. It was a nice park, though, and the Sox ended up winning!

Jane at the farm

Since I had taken Malcolm to the farm a few times when Jane was in school, I took her alone the other day.

She loves to collect feathers!

We saw the usually elusive cat!

This calf made a really funny slurping noise when he drank water.

We had a fun time at the zoo with our friends. It was pretty muggy but the kids still had a good time.

Malcolm and Nate were figuring out where to go on the map. I think they really just wanted to play on the playground the whole time.

Jane and Lily loved the seals!

I thought the sloth actually moved pretty quickly.

Reagan's birthday

Reagan had her third birthday party at the Portland Children's Museum! We got there a couple hours early so Jane and Malcolm could play.

The kids were very excited to see the birthday girl!

I would love to know what Malcolm and Reagan talked about in the fire truck for all that time.

last softball game

Last night was Jane's last softball game of the season. When the game was over the girls each got a ball that everyone autographed.

They also got trophies!

Then we had an ice cream party. We had a great team and it was a good season!

last day of school

Jane asked for smoothies for breakfast.

After school we met our friends Kim, Duncan and Cassidy for a picnic lunch and trip to the lake!
