Jane asked me to bring her projects home so they wouldn't get crushed in her backpack. When Malcolm saw them he wanted to make them too, so we replicated them all at home!

fall activity day
I helped out at second grade fall activity day. The kids made bats, pumpkins, ghosts and mummies. It was a lot of fun!

more soccer!
Jane's team played against another team from the same town, so her team wore pinnies. It was cold out but the girls had fun!

bookstore!
Jane and Malcolm received gift cards to the local book store from their friends Trevor and Colin for their birthdays. We spent some time there during a rainy afternoon and they had so much fun picking out what they wanted! Jane got a Magic Tree House book, a Jigsaw Jones book and some stickers. Malcolm got a dinosaur puzzle and some stickers.
Oktoberfest 2014
I forgot the camera so these are all taken with my, Aunt Amy's and Uncle Jake's phones. Jane raked a pile of leaves next to Grammy's deck so the kids could jump into it.
They love to climb this tree.
Uncle Jake and cousin Samara were there, that was nice!
We brought spider cookies. The kids made them with Daddy and they had so much fun.
They carved their own pumpkins!
They also bobbed for apples.
It was a fun day!

Flume Gorge
Another place I wanted to visit was the Flume Gorge. We stopped there on our way home. I had been with my family as a teenager and I remembered it being quite a sight to see.
The visitor center looked the same!
We had another cool, sunny day for hiking.
You can't tell from the photos but the kids didn't really enjoy themselves. I think they were tired and worn out, and just done with the trip.
The kids wanted to feel the water. It was cold!
They were excited to watch this chipmunk!
Maybe if we went back when they were older, they'd appreciate it more! It sure was beautiful.
