pea pickin'
sleepover
Jane has an air conditioner and Malcolm doesn't, so his room was just too hot. They had so much fun... a little too much. The first night they slept from 9pm-6:45am and the next night was 9pm-5:45am. That's not too terrible for Jane but not enough sleep for Malcolm! Luckily it's been cooling off and he's going back to his own room tonight.
another hot day
Rosalie and Jane were cleaning the toys with buckets of water.
Our friend Danielle with her baby son Chase came by also. I didn't get and photos but he was so cute!
Eventually we went inside to enjoy the air conditioning.
beach day!
The waves were pretty powerful so the kids weren't tempted to go deep into the water. Malcolm wouldn't even go near it.
Lily, Nate and Tyler shared their tent with us.
We got Jane to be in this picture, too.
outdoor fun at the library
playdate at the park
the big show
But they had no problem performing in front of an audience! (The batteries in my flash had just died so these next two look a little odd.)
The best part: medals!

Reagan's birthday
Then they wanted to explore the seashore. They really wanted to go in the water (and Malcolm went in fully dressed later in the day) but it was way too cold!
Malcolm found a gun:
I found a rock shaped like Maine!
Then the kids went for a bike ride.
When Grammy came she had stuff to make fruit kebabs.
Then the birthday girl arrived!
She wasn't sure what to do with the cake. It was adorable!
Time for Daddy to get her cleaned up!
Malcolm ate cake with his hands just like Reagan.
Present time!
new farm
It's not too far from our grocery store, so I hope to combine the trip each time I go. I'm still not good at finding everything on my list AND comparison shopping while watching two kids. Hopefully it will get easier with time.
nature walk
learning about bees
Then we went outside to look for bees. Even though it was raining, we still saw a lot!
The beehive:
That morning I had stopped to get the kids new rainboots. They both picked firefighter boots and they're the same size. I thought that was funny!
