Then they wanted to explore the seashore. They really wanted to go in the water (and Malcolm went in fully dressed later in the day) but it was way too cold!
Malcolm found a gun:
I found a rock shaped like Maine!
Then the kids went for a bike ride.
When Grammy came she had stuff to make fruit kebabs.
Then the birthday girl arrived!
She wasn't sure what to do with the cake. It was adorable!
Time for Daddy to get her cleaned up!
Malcolm ate cake with his hands just like Reagan.
Present time!

That cottage looks like a good place to escape to with a stack of books. Heavenly, peaceful.
What a fun time! I don't know what it is about water that attracts kids! Malcolm must've been freezing after getting wet! :)
